Fred A. Meyer, Funeral Assistant, has been a part of our staff for 12 years. He began his funeral service career at the age of 17. Upon retiring to Garrett County, he later joined the Newman staff. He has brought over 50 years of experience to our staff. His passion is truly being of service to others in their hour of need. Professionally, Fred spent 43 years as owner/agent of a State Farm Insurance Agency in Leesburg, VA. Always involved in his community, Fred is a Life Member of Loudoun County Volunteer Rescue Squad. As a 50+ year member of the Masonic Order, he holds dual membership in three lodges including Oakland Lodge #192 AF&AM. He is a member of Elks Lodge #2481 and Proctor Kildow American Legion #71 as well as St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Oakland. Fred lives in Oakland with his wife, Priscilla. Together they have six adult children and nine grandchildren.
