Thelma Louise “Tillie” Skipper, 87, of Oakland, MD, passed away Wednesday, April 1, 2020, at her home.
Born September 29, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Raymond E. and Lucy Louise Beckman. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Donald Elwood Skipper, one brother and three sisters.
Thelma worked as a bookkeeper at Naylor’s Hardware store. She also worked for Bellamah, Neuhauser & Barrett Inc., in Washington, DC. She attended Rocky Drean Assembly of God. Thelma loved to do word search puzzles and liked keeping busy and going to work.
She is survived by one daughter, Dawna Louise Kestner and husband, Jerry, Oakland; two grandchildren, Jerry Kestner II, and Christopher Kestner; three great grandchildren, Tricia, Lorianne, and Tyler; three great-great grandchildren, Chase, Vera, and one on the way.
At Thelma’s request, she will be cremated. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
