Roger Dean Pannell, 73, of Oakland, MD, died Saturday, May 30, 2020, at his home.
Born June 30, 1946, in Bossevane, VA, he was the son of the late Hasque Banner and Blanche Rebecca (Stallard) Pannell. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Morgan McKenzie; 7 brothers and 1 sister.
Roger was a retired carpenter. He enjoyed gardening, riding his Harley and 4-wheeler and was a fan of Kevin Harvick and NASCAR. He could often be found hunting, fishing or shooting pool. Most of all, Roger loved his daughters and grandchildren very much.
Surviving are his three daughters, Linda Williams and husband, Michael; Rebecca McKenzie and husband, Richard, III and Susanna Pannell and fiance, Anthony Brodak; and his former wife, Maggie Horton, all of Oakland; three brothers, Charles Pannell, Bluefield, VA; David Joe Pannell, Lake Wales, FL; Carroll Pannell, Wythe Co., VA; one sister, Brenda Sue Garvin, Princeton, WV and six beloved grandchildren, John Pilkerton, Logan Tuck, Ashlin McKenzie, Ivan Brodak, Brayden McKenzie and Jadelin Brodak.
Due to the executive order issued by the Governor of the state of Maryland, a private graveside service will be held.
