Rae Ellsworth Keister, 80, of Frostburg, MD, died Tuesday, September 29, 2020, at Allegany Healthcare and Rehab Center, Cumberland, MD.
Born April 3, 1940, in Midlothian, MD, he was the son of the late Harry and Elizabeth (Hamilton) Keister. He was also preceded in death by one son, Steven Keister; two brothers, Harry and Robert Keister; three sisters, Mary Morgan, Doris Morgan and Janice Vought.
Mr. Keister was a mechanic and of the Catholic faith. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of Grantsville Post 214, American Legion and Midland Sportsmen’s Club.
He is survived by his wife, Ora Mae (McKenzie) Keister; three sons, Ronald (Gail) Keister, Jr., Frostburg; John (companion, Wendy Sipple) Keister, Meyersdale, PA; Charles Keister, Frostburg; two brothers, James (Gloria) Keister and Neil (Nancy) Keister, all of Carlos, MD; one sister, Elaine (Bob) Resh, Warren, OH; five grandchildren, Thomas and wife, Heidi; Michael and wife, Jamie; Ronald, Jr. and wife, Danielle; Emily and companion, Anthony Testa; Nicole and fiancé, Richard Whetzel; seven great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 179 Miller St., Grantsville, MD, on Friday from 6-9 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home on Saturday, October 3, 2020, at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev. Ed Hendricks officiating. Interment will be in the St. Ann Cemetery.
