Linda Louise Irons, 73, of Rockville, MD, died Monday, June 8, 2020, at Suburban Hospital, Bethesda, MD.
Born May 15, 1947, in Confluence, PA, she was the daughter of the late Edward Dewey Shaffer and Margaret Ann (Thomas) Lampe. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Edward Irons, Sr.; step-father, Gerald Lampe; one son, Daniel Drennan; one brother, Edward Shaffer, Jr.; and three sisters, Sarah Dyer, Audrey Frazee and Shirley Shaffer.
Ms. Irons worked for Bradley Party and Variety and was a member of the Glen Echo Ladies Auxiliary and the Bethesda-Chevy Chase Rescue Squad Alumni.
She is survived by her fiancé, Donald Ridgely; two sons, Charles Drennan, Oakland, MD; Bruce Drennan, Rockville, MD; two sisters, Leota Spaw and Jean Bugaj; 10 grandchildren, Andrew, Katarine, Riley, Maggie, Dalton, Cameron, William, Bryon, Zachary and Caitlin; four great-grandchildren, Sophia, Bryson, Liam and Wyatt; one niece, Paula Kiernan; and one great-niece, Emily.
Due to the limited number of people allowed to gather following the executive order by the State of Maryland, services will be private.
