Wolford Eugene “Hunky” Perando, Sr., 78, of Oakland, MD, died Wednesday, December 25, 2019, at Garrett Regional Medical Center, Oakland.
Born April 12, 1941, in Shallmar, MD, he was the son of the late Wolford R. Perando and Madeline V. (Burgess) Perando Stark. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Dale Perando and his step-father, Harold F. Stark.
Hunky was a woodyard truck driver for Westvaco. He loved to travel, camp, hunt, and fish. He enjoyed cooking barbeque pork and chicken for people and had the title “pig man”.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn E. (George) Perando; three sons, Wolford E. “Wolfman” Perando and wife, Terri, Oakland; Edward F. Perando and wife, Jaime, Woodbine, MD; Tony S. “Buck” Perando and wife Pamela, Newport, TN; one daughter, Carla E. Perando, Friendsville, MD; one brother, Alden Perando, Oakland; two sisters, Joan Hawk and family, Broomes Island, MD; Eva Mae Clary and family, Deer Park, MD; eight grandchildren, Kelly, Krisopher, Calvin, Dalton, Paige, Maddi, Harley, Parker; three great-grandchildren, Aplin, Kruz, Kennedy.
At his request, he will be cremated, no visitations or services will be held.
