Wilma Edith (Bolyard) Pysell

Wilma Edith (Bolyard) Pysell, 92, of Deer Park, MD, died Friday, September 13, 2019, at Garrett Regional Medical Center, Oakland, surrounded by her family.

Born January 24, 1927, in Kasson, WV, she was the daughter of the late Dorsie Britton and Jenny Mae (Wolfe) Bolyard. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Allen Pysell; companion, Bradley (Jack) Harvey, Jr.; step-mother Nona (Hershman) Bolyard; five siblings, Carl Bolyard, Kenneth Bolyard, Ethel (Bolyard) Hershman, Hayward Bolyard, Elaine (Bolyard) Law; two half-brothers, two half-sisters, two daughters-in-law.

Edith was a homemaker and a quilter. She worked at Sterling Processing Plant and Garrett Manufacturing in Deer Park. She was a babysitter for numerous children and was a member of Deer Park VFW, Post 10077 Women’s Auxiliary.

She is survived by eight children, Dora Shafer and husband, Rodney; Allen Pysell; David Pysell; Rita Smith and husband, Butch; Connie Bowser and husband, Gilroy; Darvin Pysell; Wilma Rodeheaver and husband, Dennis; Martha Perando and wife, Margaret El; one half-brother, Donald Bolyard; five half-sisters, Karen Wiles; Shirley Tribbie; Allinda Maxon; Dottie Langdon; Becky Hardesty; thirteen grandchildren, Crystal Fike; Dawn Thayer; James Pysell; Angela Wilt; Wendy Pysell; Scott Smith; Linda Fazenbaker; Amanda Bowser; Arthur Pysell; Sarah Willis; Dennis Rodeheaver; Haddi Miller; Ben Perando; twenty great-grandchildren, Zachery Thayer, Noah Thayer, Ian Thayer, Nicole Pysell, Emily Pysell, Amber Schlossnagle, Cody Wilt, Kaitlyn Smith, Megan Fazenbaker, Mollie Fazenbaker, Hayden Wilt, Kenzie Pysell, Hallie Pysell, Adrian Pysell, Tyler Rodeheaver, Clover Perando, Lee Perando, Jessie Perando, Cody Perando; three great-great-grandchildren, Liam Murphy, Ryan Schlossnagle and Emma Schlossnagle.

Friends will be received at Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 1100 Memorial Drive, Oakland on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be conducted in the funeral home chapel on Monday, September 16, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Barbara Rexrode officiating. Interment will be in the Deer Park Cemetery.
