Ramona Doris Harle

January 21, 1929 ~ February 23, 2018 (age 89)

Ramona Doris Harle, 89, of Mountain Lake Park, MD, died Friday, February 23, 2018, at Oakland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Oakland.

Born January 21, 1929, in Harrisburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Violet (Strock) Sturgon. She was also preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

Ramona Doris Sturgeon Harle was born in Harrisburg, PA. on January 21, 1929.  She went to be with the Lord on February 23, 2018 at age 89 while in rehab at Oakland Nursing and Rehab in Oakland, Maryland.  She was raised and lived 88 years and 10 months in Harrisburg, PA.  She had moved to Mountain Lake Park, Maryland on October 13th, 2017 into "The Meadows" apartment for elderly, handicapped persons to be near her daughter, Suzanne Harle and Husband David J. George.  She was very happy in her new beautiful one level apartment.   She went to William Penn High School in Harrisburg, PA. up to the 10th grade.  Mock Street is where she was raised by her late Mother, Violet Strock Sturgeon and late Father, Earl Sturgeon.  She retired from the Telegraph Press Company at age 60.  She worked in the bindery department where books were sewn together and also loaded stacks of books or magazines onto skids for delivery.  Ramona met her late Husband John W. Harle at the TP Company.  They were married 67 years.  She loved animals and fed squirrels nuts in her back yard for over 50 years.  While still working Mona (as she was called), raised two daughters Suzanne and Sandy and a dog named "Laddie" from a puppy to a full grown collie/golden retriever mix.  For many years she had a blue parakeet named "Dickie".  She was an avid reader and loved vacationing at Wildwood, N.J. yearly.  Interment took place on June 1st, 2018 with a grave site short service at Resurrection Cemetery, 116 S. Oak Grove Rd, Harrisburg, PA. 17112.  There she is resting with her late husband.

Two surviving daughters, Suzanne Harle George, husband David J. George living in Maryland, no children.  Sandy LemMon Guigear twice widowed living in Michigan and three grandchildren. Steven LemMon, wife Lisa and two great grandchildren Alex and Grace LemMon also living in Michigan.  (Late) Matthew LemMon, wife Angie and three great grandchildren, Cassie LemMon Towner, Jessie LemMon Glockley, and Raymond LemMon, all living in Pennsylvania.  Brian LemMon, wife Laura and two great grandchildren Alyssa and Connor LemMon living in Michigan. 

Also surviving two long time neighbors and friends Kathy Erney and Jackie Busey,

Kathy took care of Mona and Jack's lawns, and snow removal and Jackie ran errands and looked in on them multiple times each day during their later elderly years.
