Menno Edward Yoder, 78, of Salisbury, PA, died Tuesday, October 8, 2019, in Grantsville, MD.
Born March 8, 1941, in Meyersdale, PA, he was the son of the late Lloyd E. and Lydia (Yoder) Yoder. He was also preceded in death by one granddaughter, Kimberly Bender and one sister, Irene Tice.
Mr. Yoder was a farm equipment mechanic. He was a member of the Friendship Haven Church, Cumberland, MD, Mennonite Disaster Service and the Grantsville Volunteer Fire Department.
He is survived by his wife, Doris “Elaine” (Yoder) Yoder; two sons, Ronald (Lynda) Yoder, Grantsville; Lynford Yoder, Cumberland; two daughters, Lillian (Alvin) Bender, Grantsville; Susan Yoder, Salisbury; three brothers, Herman Yoder, Raymond G. Yoder and Glenn Yoder, all of Grantsville; two sisters, Shirley Kinsinger and Glenda Yoder, both of Grantsville; seven grandchildren, Galen and Tonya Bender, Tyler, Brendan, Conner, Brianna and Megan Yoder.
Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 179 Miller St., Grantsville, on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted in the Maple Glen Mennonite Church on Saturday, October 12, 2019, at 10:30 a.m. with Elder Ken Tice and Pastor Ron Stivala officiating. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the services. Interment will be in the Maple Glen Cemetery.
