Lola Maxine (Savage) Wilburn, 88, of McHenry, MD, died on her birthday and wedding anniversary, Thursday, April 26, 2018, at her residence.
Born April 26, 1930, in McHenry, she was the daughter of the late Everett and Mary Jane (Rodeheaver) Savage. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Beuhl Wiley “Bue” Wilburn, March 25, 2005; one brother, Carl Savage; her sister-in-law and best friend, Maxine Savage and one brother-in-law, Donald Fratz.
Mrs. Wilburn was a homemaker and a member of the Oak Grove Church of the Brethren. She enjoyed crocheting, gardening, mowing the lawn and watching the Pittsburgh Pirates, win or lose she was a Pirates fan for many years.
She is survived by two daughters, Vickie S. (Rick) Bond, Accident, MD; Donna L. Wilburn, McHenry; daughters of the heart, Danielle (Travis) Pickett, Accident and Devon (Josh) Hetrick, Grantsville, MD; one sister, Anna Mary Fratz, McHenry; two grandchildren of the heart, Tylor and Courtney Pickett; her little dog, Heidi; her caregiver, “My Friend”, Leota Friend; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held in the Oak Grove Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 1, 2018, with Pastor Ross Glotfelty officiating.
