Linda Gail (Schroyer) Stanton, 75, of Oakland, MD, passed away on Monday, December 30, 2019, at Dennett Road Manor Nursing Home, Oakland.
Born May 3, 1944, in Accident, MD, she was the daughter of the late Clayton L. and Irene (Rodeheaver) Schroyer. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, William Ray Livengood; one son, Barry Livengood; one brother, Ronald Schroyer; one grandson-in-law, Michael Bowman.
Linda worked as a clerk in the fine jewelry department at Walmart. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Accident.
She is survived by one daughter, Lisa L. (Gary) Freeland, Terra Alta, WV; one sister, Eva (Glenn) Whiteman, Sykesville, MD; two granddaughters, Aimee (Greg) Lytle and Jordyn (Dillon) Bennett; five great-grandchildren, Emilee and Tucker Bowman, Kamryn Bennett, Caleb and Tori Lytle; one great-great granddaughter, Anna Lytle and many, many nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 26722 Garrett Hwy., Accident, MD, 21520, on Thursday, from 5-8 p.m. Services will be conducted in the funeral home on Friday, January 3, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Eric Beeman officiating. Interment will be in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Accident.
