Linda Kay Pysell, 73, of Swanton, MD, died Wednesday, February 21, 2018, at Dennett Road Manor Nursing Home, Oakland, MD.
Born April 10, 1944, in Kitzmiller, MD, she was the daughter of the late Orville Ray “Mike” and Ida Bell (Bernard) Tasker. She was also preceded in death by a brother, William Ray Tasker.
Linda was a dietary aide at Dennett Road Manor Nursing Home for 30 years. She was a member of the VFW Post 10077 Ladies’ Auxiliary, Deer Park, MD. She loved to watch professional wrestling in her free time.
She is survived by two daughters, Marsha E. Fink and her significant other, Kenny DeWitt, Swanton; Nannette J. Braithwaite and husband, William A., Oakland, MD; a brother, Raymond O. “Buck” Tasker, Kitzmiller; three sisters, Betty Smith, Keyser, WV; Rosemary Tasker and Carol Palmer, both of Kitzmiller; five grandchildren, Brandon Bowman, Derrick Tasker, Lillian Tasker, Jamie Braithwaite and Lindsey Braithwaite; five great-grandchildren, Shaylie, Kiera, Macee, Bransyn and Terrien.
Friends will be received at Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 1100 Memorial Drive, Oakland on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. At Linda’s request she will be cremated. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2018, at St. John’s Episcopal Church, Deer Park, MD at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Carl Lee officiating. A dinner will be held following her services.
