Lewis Ray Ohler, Sr., 83, of Springs, PA, died Monday, July 8, 2019, at Conemaugh Memorial Hospital, Johnstown, PA.
Born January 28, 1936, in Sand Patch, PA, he was the son of the late Raymond Walter and Harriett L. (Baer) Ohler. He was also preceded in death by one grandson, Justin Ohler and one great-granddaughter, Madyson Johnson.
Mr. Ohler was a truck driver. He was a member of Ss. Philip and James Catholic Church, Meyersdale and the Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Louise (Weimer) Ohler; two sons, Lewis Ohler and wife, Carol Ann and Mark Ohler and wife, Deb, all of Meyersdale; one daughter, Tina Gnagey and husband, Guy, Springs; one sister, Mary Landis, Meyersdale; 11 grandchildren, Randy, Ashley and husband, Keith, Tyler, Michael and wife, Stephanie, Adam, Mark, Jr. and Renee, James “Bird” and wife, Christie, Lauren and husband, Matt, Allen and Casey, Dillon and wife, Brianna and Aaron; 23 great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Home, Inc., 9168 Mason-Dixon Hwy., Salisbury, PA, on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in the Ss. Philip and James Catholic Church, Thursday, July 11, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Alan Thomas officiating. Interment will be in the Ss. Philip and James Cemetery.
