Guy Elmer Gnagey, 95, of Meyersdale, PA, died Wednesday, November 20, 2019, at The Patriot, Somerset, PA.
Born April 2, 1924, in Summit Township, PA, he was the son of the late Alvin & Elsie (Lepley) Gnagey. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Elizabeth (Baker) Gnagey, June 26, 2019; a daughter, Sherry Dively; a grandson, Lee Gnagey; one sister, Helen Fike and six brothers, Ray, Glenn, Bruce, Max and Clay Gnagey and Merle Murphy.
Guy was a retired custodian for the Meyersdale Area School District and had previously worked as a mechanic for Yoder's Milk Transport. He attended Meyersdale Church of the Brethren.
He is survived by three sons, Guy E. (Tina) Gnagey, Springs, PA; Roger (Lorri) Gnagey and Todd Gnagey, all of Meyersdale; two daughters, Beth Gnagey, Meyersdale; Anita (Ron) Spiker, Hyndman, PA; son-in-law, Richard Dively, Waverly, OH and seven grandchildren, Dillon Benford, Aaron Gnagey, Trevor Gnagey, Kayla Johnson, Todd Gnagey, Jr., Tyler Spiker and Nicole Dively.
Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Home, Inc., 9168 Mason-Dixon Highway, Salisbury, PA, on Thursday from 5-8 pm. Services will be conducted in the funeral home on Friday, November 22, 2019, at 11:00 am, with the Rev. Eric Shaulis officiating. Interment will be in Meyersdale Area Union Cemetery.
