Fannie Marie Beachy, 78, of Oakland, MD, died Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at her home.
Born November 13, 1939, in Oakland, she was the daughter of the late Eli D. and Minnie (Beachy) Beachy. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Edwin Beachy and a great-nephew, Melvin Andrew Beachy.
Fannie was a homemaker and enjoyed quilting, gardening and loved flowers. In her youth, she was baptized upon her confession of her faith in Jesus Christ and was a member of the Gortner Amish Church. For the last two years, she was cared for at her home by her three great-nieces.
She is survived by a sister, Esther Viola Beachy, Oakland; a nephew, Alvin Beachy (Rachel), Oakland; a niece, Esther Glotfelty, Oakland; ten great nieces and nephews; two step-great-nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Gortner Amish Church, 3271 Mason School Road, Oakland, on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Friday from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Services will be conducted in the Gortner Amish Church on Friday, February 9, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. with Bishop Alvin Beachy officiating. Interment will be in the Gortner Amish Cemetery.
