Ernest Lee Brenneman, Jr., 77, of Grantsville, MD, died Wednesday, December 5, 2018, at Cherry Hill Assisted Living, Accident, MD.
Born May 27, 1941, in Bittinger, MD, he was the son of the late Ernest and Amelia (Schrock) Brenneman.
Jr. worked in the coal mines and loved going to mule shows. He was also a part of the rescue team of the B52 Bomber that crashed in the Savage Mountains during the winter of 1964. He was a lifelong member of Glade Mennonite Church, Accident. For several years, Jr. traveled to Colorado to hunt elk and mule deer. He was quite the story teller from his hunting adventures.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Mary Ann (Kramer) Brenneman; three children, Meredith (Lynne) Brenneman, Mercersburg, PA; William (Celeste) Brenneman, Bittinger; Brent Brenneman, Oakland, MD; two brothers, Elmer Buddy (Barbara) Brenneman, Eureka, MT and Allen (Virginia) Brenneman, Grantsville; one sister, Miriam Brenneman, Grantsville; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at the Glade Mennonite Church, Sunday, December 9, 2018, at 3:00 p.m., with Pastor Johnny Martin officiating.
