Elizabeth Joyce (Fitzpatrick) Pritts, 70, of Grantsville, MD, passed away at home on Wednesday, April 11, 2018, surrounded by her family.
Born August 13, 1947, in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Fern (Butler) Fitzpatrick. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ralph Pritts and two infant sisters, Donna and Rita.
Liz spent much of her childhood in Grantsville, MD. She loved her fur babies Maggie Mae and Lady. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, crocheting, bargain shopping, playing darts and visiting with friends and family. Liz was a bartender at Tillie’s Tavern in Salisbury, PA for seventeen years. She was an auxiliary life member at Salisbury VFW Post # 8826 and also a member of the Salisbury American Legion.
Liz was proud of her Irish roots and proud to be a part of the Fitzpatrick family from Patton Pennsylvania. Her feisty, spunky personality will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her loving companion, Jack Wolfe; one son Harry Lee (Goldie), Confluence, PA; three daughters, Linda Sue (Bob Lipscomb), Grantsville; Joyce Ann (Michael Bowman), Boynton; Nancy Jane (Samuel Friend), Addison; loving grandmother to Michael, Phillip, Brandy Jo (Matt), Dakota, Haylee (Sean), & Hunter (Heather) and great grandchildren, Michael, Allison, Harry Lee II, Bowen, and her special angel, Kinsley; one brother, Harry (Alice) Fitzpatrick, Rockwood, PA; two sisters, LaRue (George) Slayton, Salisbury JoAnn (Roger) Gilpin, Bittinger and her special niece, Lisa Lashley.
The family would like to thank the Cumberland Covenant House for their kindness and generosity. The family would also like to extend a personal thank you to Garrett County Hospice.
At her request, Liz will be cremated and a private memorial service will be held at a later date.
Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 179 Miller St., Grantsville, is in charge of cremation arrangements.
