At
Newman Funeral Homes, we offer a complete choice of services from
traditional funerals to direct cremation.
A traditional funeral service includes embalming, a one or two day
viewing, a funeral service, either at our facility or in a church,
procession to the cemetery, graveside service and burial.
A traditional cremation service involves embalming, a one or two
day viewing, funeral service and cremation of the body and container
with a graveside service at a later date if requested.
The graveside service includes embalming, viewing if requested and
a service at the place of burial.
Direct cremation involves holding the body the necessary period
of time as required by law, transfer to the crematory and a container
for the body. It does not include a memorial service, however, the
services are often desired.
We have provided large areas for viewings and funerals. Families
are encouraged to make the services as personal as they wish by
displaying pictures, mementos and meaningful items.
Arrangements are made
at our Grantsville and Salisbury locations. Each facility has a
new concept of casket selection. Quarter and Eighth cut casket sections
are offered to view in place of a display of full size caskets,
this allows for a greater selection of caskets in a much friendlier
environment.
The Grantsville and Salisbury locations have designated children’s
areas and coffee lounges, and all facilities offer coffee. We extend
an invitation to visit us anytime and see our facilities.
