Obituary

Troy Junior Smith, 79, of Oakland, MD, passed away Friday, March 17, 2017, at Dennett Road Manor Nursing Home, Oakland.

Born November 29, 1937, in Deer Park, MD, he was the son of the late Troy M. and Minnie E. Smith (Smith). He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Curtis G. and Carliss L. Smith and one sister, Shirley K. Smith.

Troy was a heavy equipment operator for the Garrett County Roads Department, retiring after 28 years of service.

He is survived by his son, Mike Smith, and wife, Natalie, Keyser, WV; two brothers, Harold “Butch” Smith, and wife, Rita and Richard “Dick” Smith, all of Oakland; one sister, Betty L. Stewart, Oakland, and several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 1100 Memorial Dr., Oakland, on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Services will be conducted in the funeral home chapel on Monday, March 20, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Barbara Rexroad officiating. Interment will be in Deer Park Cemetery, Deer Park.

So sorry for the lose of your love one .Ed and Bonnie Lewis knew him very well ED liked when thay stopped by the garage and Bob and ROGER would all of them talked and shared there day Ed really hated to cloths his shop missed all the guys he new .Prayers are with you all .Mrs Edward Lewis .
